"Pretty Patches Wallet" in Red.

This time I want to show you a "Pretty Patches Wallet", which I made for my friend Teresa. The original version was publishing in the Modern Patchwork Spring 2014. I wrote about that here.

This wallet varies from the previous one. It has more pockets for cash and less pockets for credit cards, coupons and discount cards.
Teresa loves autumn colors, so I chose red, brown, brick red and orange fabrics.


Tym razem "Pretty Patches Wallet" w nowej wersji kolorystycznej. Uszyłam go dla mojej przyjaciółki Teresy. Wersja oryginalna mojego portfela została opublikowana w wiosennym numerze magazynu Modern Patchwork. Pisałam o tym tutaj.

Ten portfel różni się nieco od oryginału. Posiada więcej kieszeni na banknoty i mniej kieszonek na karty kredytowe oraz kupony.
Teresa bardzo lubi kolory jesieni, dlatego użyłam tutaj tkanin w kolorze czerwonym, ceglastym, brązowym oraz pomarańczowym.

Pretty Patches Wallet.

My "Pretty Patches Wallet" that was published in the last Modern Patchwork magazine has just returned to me. When I was sewing I was really upset about the fact that I could not find any appropriate fabric for the binding. I didn't have time to order a new one, so the wallet was sent to the U.S. with the best binding I had at that time. I am glad that they liked it anyway and that the wallet was published, but soon after its return I have changed the binding for a new one. 

And now I may say that I'm really happy with it. 

Niedawno wrócił mój portfel opublikowany w ostatnim magazynie Modern Patchwork. Jeszcze podczas szycia nie mogłam przeboleć braku odpowiedniej tkaniny na lamówkę. Miałam zbyt mało czasu, żeby zamówić nową, dlatego portfel poleciał do USA z najlepszą jaką znalazłam w tamtym czasie. Cieszę się,że mimo wszystko się spodobał i został opublikowany,ale zaraz po jego powrocie wymieniłam lamówkę na nową. 

Dopiero teraz jestem z niego naprawdę zadowolona.

Modern Patchwork Spring 2014

Hi everyone!!

I haven't seen the magazine yet. It will arrive to me later, but judging on the cover we can expect pretty amazing projects there!

Before shipment of the wallet to the magazine I didn't succeed to take pictures, so I used the photo downloaded from the website of the magazine. Unfortunately, I didn't show you that wallet before.

Przed wysyłką portfela do gazety, nie zdążyłam zrobić przyzwoitych zdjęć, dlatego posłużyłam się zdjęciem pobranym ze strony internetowej czasopisma.

Niestety właśnie z powodu braku zdjęć nie mogłam się nim wcześniej "pochwalić" :(

The wallet in blue and olive / Błękitno-oliwkowy portfel.

A few days ago an elder friend of my daughter, Maja, invited her to her birthday party. We received the invitation a little bit too late, so I thought that I would not be able to sew anything that she would like to have. Maja is a teenager, so I thought of the wallet. I was not sure what colors she liked, but as I often see her in blue clothes I have chosen the following colors: blue, olive and light beige.

 A wallet is fastened with Velcro. Outside of the wallet there is a pocket for coins. Inside there are pockets for cash and cards (I hope she is gonna put a discount card, not a credit card :) 

Size: 7 1/2 "x 4 3/4"

Kilka dni temu starsza koleżanka mojej córki Maja zaprosiła ją na swoje urodziny. Zaproszenie dostałyśmy trochę w ostatniej chwili,dlatego myślałam,że nie uda mi się przygotować niczego co mogłoby się jej spodobać.
Maja to już nastolatka,dlatego pomyślałam o portfelu. Nie byłam pewna jakie lubi kolory,ale ponieważ często widuję ją w błękitach wybrałam tkaniny w kolorach błękit,oliwka i jasny beż.

Portfel jest zapinany na rzep. Po zewnętrznej stronie posiada kieszonkę na monety. W środku przegródki na pieniądze oraz karty (mam nadzieję,że rabatowe,a nie kredytowe:)

Rozmiar: 7 1/2" x 4 3/4'
