This time, it's definitely the last element of the set sewn for Mary (the
people that are not aware what I am talking about are invited to read here
and here :)
To be really happy she was missing seat cushions. It would not be me if I
did not invent anything too laborious ... Of course, I had to keep the
appropriate color, but the rest I could create the way I wanted to.
The cushion is quite large (46cm/50cm), thickness (around 7cm). You can sit
on it successfully even if you are only on the floor.
The top I made a little bit unusually. Each side is like a mini quilt sewn
with the use of three layers i.e.: the visible outside side (a patchwork),
a thin layer of a batting, a cotton fabric. I really wanted the cushions to
be made as solid as possible that's why each side was quilted through three
layers (a patchwork, a batting, a fabric). After that, when I already had
both sides ready, I've stitched them together. The interior part of the
cushion I stuffed with some soft upholstery foam and I decorated it with
buttons covered with the fabric.

Do pełni szczęścia brakowało jej jeszcze poduchy na fotel. Nie byłabym sobą gdybym nie wymyśliła czegoś nadmiernie pracochłonnego... Oczywiście musiałam trzymać się odpowiedniej kolorystyki,ale resztę mogłam sobie dowolnie wykombinować.
Poducha jest dość duża (46cm/50cm, grubość ok.7cm). Z powodzeniem można na niej siadać nawet na samej podłodze.
Wierzch uszyłam może trochę nietypowo. Każda ze stron to taki mini quilt uszyty z trzech warstw czyli: części widocznej na zewnątrz (patchwork),warstwy cienkiego ocieplenia, tkaniny bawełnianej. Bardzo zależało mi na solidnym wykonaniu poduchy dlatego każdą ze stron przepikowałam przez trzy warstwy (patchwork,ocieplenie batting,fabric). Mając już gotowe obie strony zszyłam je ze sobą. Wnętrze poduchy wypchałam miękką pianką tapicerską i ozdobiłam guziczkami powleczonymi tkaniną.
